Falling Man Group is the newly organized non-profit, built to "provide outreach and education to the fan community of Cyan Worlds, Inc; and to provide support and oversight for the yearly Mysterium gathering."

Why a Non Profit?

By creating an educational non-profit group to oversee Mysterium (and, we hope, other fan events and endeavors), we open the door to resources and options that Mysterium didn't have before- from simple things like a checking account and financial tracking, to more complex benefits, like better access to hotels and venues.

What does being a Non Profit mean?

Falling Man Group's registration as a Non-Profit organization with the State of Washington, and subsequent filing with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) means that we are an "organization that does not distribute its surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead uses them to help pursue its goals." It means that any monies that are brought in, go directly back into the purpose of the group.

Who runs FMG?

FMG is run by a Board of Directors, who are governed by a set of Bylaws, as well as state and federal regulations.

So FMG Runs Mysterium?

Yes and no. There will be changes to how Mysterium is run. This will include a yearly bid system, giving more people a chance to be a part of organizing and running Mysterium under the Falling Man 'umbrella'.

Does Cyan know about this?

Yes, they do! And they are very pleased to see people's hard work coming to fruition.

Now what?

We know you will have many many more questions- as we move forward you will find on this site information about the full mission of FMG, the board, the bylaws, Mysterium 2012 (and beyond!) and how to get involved.
